Debra Lampert-Rudman

Handcrafted Quality

I've been creating animal art and stories since I was about 5 years old. From ceramic animals to paintings and even illustrated stories.
Now, I am so delighted to be living my dream of creating animal art & writing surrounded by my own Cocker Spaniels as my studio mates and muses.
My ceramic work has been displayed in a one-woman show at the prestigious William Secord Gallery, NYC, and at the Morris Museum, The Dinnerware Museum, and  m.t. burton gallery, among many other juried shows.
I’ve also written and illustrated a children’s picture book, “Iris the Architect”, and won awards for my art and writing including the top honor from the Dog Writers Association of America, the Maxwell Award.
The true joy in my commissioned work is hearing stories and memories about clients’ dogs and creating special pieces to capture their essence. Overall, I hope is to bring nearly as much joy through my artwork as the actual animal brings, or brought, to its family.

I hold a B.A. from Kean University and M.Ed. from The Pennsylvania State University & teach both Handbuilding and wheel to adults and children in Princeton, NJ.
