For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to art – particularly sculptural forms. After receiving a BFA in Graphics Arts from Hunter College, I worked for over 30 years as a Creative Director and Graphic Designer in several New York advertising agencies, but continued to explore the joys of working with clay by taking classes and workshops with various master potters. Classic vessel forms are uniquely appealing to me, and while much of my work is electric fired stoneware, I enjoy the Raku and Terra Sigillata processes best. Potting is an ever evolving process, with something new to be learned every time I touch clay.
I try to share my joy and love of working in clay with others by teaching students at the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey. I’m an active Member of the Potters’ Guild New Jersey, and a frequent exhibitor at PGNJ shows, as well as other shows in Central New Jersey.
